iPad Mini vs Kindle Fire HD vs Nexus 7
Apple has been hard at work this year. First it was the third-generation Apple iPad, then the iPhone 5, and now, only half a year removed from its last iPad event, Apple is turning loose two new tablets—the Apple iPad (4th Generation) and the Apple iPad mini.
The former was more of a surprise, but it brought very little new capability to the table, aside from a beefed-up processor and the new Lightning connector.

iPad Mini
Apple has launched the new Apple iPad mini – a 7.9-inch multi-touch display tablet . As the name says , it is the mini version of the 9.7-inch Apple iPad tablet .

Virtual Keyboard
Typing on a touch screen 7-inch tablet is not very convenient, so size virtual keyboard is very modest. Carrying a keyboard, even a relatively compact and wireless, is also very uncomfortable. Such keyboard can worn as a pendant, along with the keys.
Of course, the keyboard-fob may not have a complete set of mechanical buttons, so here uses an interactive laser projection. Image of classic QWERTY-layout appears on any flat surface next to a Tablet PC, and set the text at once becomes more fun. And this keyboard connects wirelessly to Bluetooth.

Best ultrabooks under Rs. 50,000
Lenovo IdeaPad U310
Rs. 44,000
The IdeaPad U310 does have a very impressive spec sheet - latest generation Ivy Bridge Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive and 24 GB of flash storage. The 13.3-inch display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The performance offered by the 1.4GHz processor is quite stable, and the 24 GB flash storage really helps speed the system along by caching the data on that instead of the slower hard drive.
Boot times are massively improved as well. The build quality is quite good, and while the looks are very understated, the sophistication bit is undeniable. Some say it looks very much like a MacBook. We will not agree or disagree with that, but if it does look like a MacBook, then kudos to Lenovo for achieving that within this price bracket.

Samsung's Galaxy S III is widely considered to be the best Android smartphone currently available, if not the best smartphone regardless of platform (iPhone 4S and 5 owners might have something to say about that), and so it almost seems criminal that it's not rocking the latest and greatest version of Google's open source operating system, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). If you own a Galaxy S III, hang in there, a Jelly Bean update is in the works.

Google rolls out free SMS service for Gmail users in India
Now you can send free text messages to your friends via Gmail! Search engine Google on Wednesday started rolling out free SMS service for its Gmail users in India. The service is reportedly also being rolled out for paid email Google Apps customers in India. Google India hasn't officially announced the new initiative yet, however several Gmail users have reported about receiving a notification about the new service.
The message service enables users to send free text messages to mobile phones from their chat windows on Gmail. To send text, users need to add mobile numbers of their contacts in the e-mail address book. The service begins with 50 SMSes credit for every user, with one SMS costing one credit. If you get reply from a mobile phone to your Gmail, 5 credits are added to your account. Maximum credit for SMS is 50.
Google has teamed up with various India cellular operators to roll out the service. The partnership hints that the operators would also receive a share from Google's SMS service. Currently, eight telecom operators support the service; they are - Aircel, Idea, Loop Mobile, MTS, Reliance, Tata DoCoMo, Tata Indicom and some circles of Vodafone. Airtel and state-run MTNL and BSNL are missing from the list.
"You can always send an SMS to your own phone, and then reply to that message multiple times. Every time you send a reply message, your SMS credit is increased by five. Effectively, you're buying more messages by paying your phone company for these outgoing messages," Google explains on its chat help portal.

Aakash 2 tablet to be available to students next month: Kapil Sibal
Union minister Kapil Sibal has said the Indian government's ultra low-cost Aakash 2 tablet will be available to students on November 11. The minister further said that the new version of the Aakash tablet PC will come with 1GHz processor, four-hour battery time, capacitive screen and Android 4.0 operating system. According to the minister, the price of the device will brought down to around Rs. 1,500, by conducting manufacturing activities in India.
“Hopefully on November 11, you will see the President talking to 20,000 students from across the nation, who will have their hands on Aakash,” Sibal said at the Economic Editors’ Conference. “At the moment, we are actually formulating a Cabinet note for the manufacturing of five million Aakash tablets without any financial burden on the Ministry of Finance,” he added.
Kapil Sibal had unveiled the 'Aakash' tablet PC in October last year. The device, aimed at bridging the digital divide in the country, was also dubbed as the world's cheapest tablet PC. The Aakash tablet, however, could never see the light of day due to multiple reasons. Last time we'd heard from DataWind that the device would be launched in October this year, but that seems unlikely now.
With back-to-back delays, empty promises about the launch and numerous controversies, enthusiasm for the Aakash tablet has faded away. Moreover, the government has clearly lost the first mover advantage in the budget tablet market, with numerous manufacturers coming out with their own low-cost tablets. Right now the market is flooded with budget tablets ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 15,000, giving customers a wide range of choices from and no delays either.
