Apple's iOS 6.0.2 Update Fixes Wi-Fi, Might Also Drain Battery Life

Let's start with the good news. Apple's over-the-air (OTA) iOS 6.0.2 update is available and it brings with it a fix for "a bug that could impact Wi-Fi." Great, say goodbye to Wi-Fi glitches. And hey, the Mayans messed up; the world didn't end today, or at least it hasn't yet, so that's good news too, right?

As for the bad news, well, here we go with battery life complaints again. Some iPhone 5 users are reporting battery drain issues after applying the update.

"It is absolutely draining my battery," an iPhone owner posted in Apple's support forum. "I can usually get through a day with about 75 percent of my battery power remaining. Today I've gone through 90 percent and I've done nothing special with it."

Other iPhone owners have chimed in with similar complaints, which would rule out an isolated incident.

"This is a significant change in battery drain," another iPhone owner posted, adding that even though he barely used his iPhone, the battery life dropped to 40 percent after just 3 hours.

Have you installed the update on your mobile device? If so, are you noticing any quirky behavior related to battery life or anything else?
