MSI's AMD-Powered GX60 Gaming Laptop Available
MSI first teased gamers with its GX60 gaming laptop in September, announcing at the time a couple of core components but keeping the rest a secret. Well, we now have full specs and pricing info to share, and assuming performance can live up to the parts list, it was worth the wait.
"MSI spared no bells and whistles in creating the GX60, packing it with cutting-edge components including the latest AMD processor," said Andy Tung, vice president of sales for MSI US. "MSI is committed to the gaming community and we believe that exceptional performance leads to unparalleled gaming experience."

Dell Inspiron 14z
When the first generation of ultrabooks was around, affordable was not a word that well described them. Now however, things have changed. The second-generation ultrabooks with Intel Ivy Bridge processors have arrived, clearly aimed at specific demographics across multiple price points. The Dell Inspiron 14z is one such ultrabook, undeniably aimed at the budget segment.
Build & Design
Straightaway, the family resemblance with the Inspiron laptops is evident. The lid has the dual tone grey and silver finish. No Snap-on cover features here, however. The Inspiron 14z is an affordable ultrabook from Dell, offered alongside the premium XPS range. The design and the materials used are very similar to the Inspiron R Special Edition laptops. That’s a good thing, because that takes out any apprehensions of “budget-ness”. The grey colour looks quite sophisticated.
Open the Inspiron 4z up, and the dark grey brushed metal tone continues around the keyboard. Similar silver finish on the bezel, but that is plain matte. On the left spine is a full-fledged Ethernet port, HDMI and USB. All three have very classy covers that do the job of hiding the ports well. On the right side is the optical drive, one of the few ultrabooks that actually offer this, another USB port and the card reader.

Best ultrabooks under Rs. 50,000
Lenovo IdeaPad U310
Rs. 44,000
The IdeaPad U310 does have a very impressive spec sheet - latest generation Ivy Bridge Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive and 24 GB of flash storage. The 13.3-inch display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The performance offered by the 1.4GHz processor is quite stable, and the 24 GB flash storage really helps speed the system along by caching the data on that instead of the slower hard drive.
Boot times are massively improved as well. The build quality is quite good, and while the looks are very understated, the sophistication bit is undeniable. Some say it looks very much like a MacBook. We will not agree or disagree with that, but if it does look like a MacBook, then kudos to Lenovo for achieving that within this price bracket.
